Feverphobia -or- Is Alternating Fever Medicines Appropriate?

I’ve been preaching for years against a practice that is marginally effective and potentially dangerous for children: alternating Tylenol and Advil or Motrin for children’s fever. HealthDay, U.S. News and World Report’s online health information site, recently cited an important article in the respected peer-reviewed journal Pediatrics. It prompted me to write the following editorial.
